Second in Line Ministries began with the purpose of bringing the Gospel to those outside of the church through Bible studies, outreach meals and street witnessing. Due to Covid we are not doing outreach meals or the nursing home Bible studies at this time. In October of 2019 we began leading The Fellowship at Doc's Gym in Superior, WI where we have an interactive Bible study with worship in a casual atmosphere. We meet every Sunday morning at 10 am at Doc's Gym located at 2806 Belknap St, Superior, WI. Our group is small and we welcome all who would like to join us or just visit and check us out.
Because we haven't been able to do outreach meals due to Covid, we are now giving out what we call "love bags" to homeless individuals we encounter on a regular basis in Duluth and Superior. In each bag we include bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, a razor, rain poncho, socks, gloves and a hat, feminine products for the women, deodorant, a bottle of water, granola bars, cheese crackers, etc.and a New Testament. We do what we can and inform people of where help in the community is available for housing, meals, food shelves and other needs.
Also for the past 2 years we have been blessing some families with all the fixings for their Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner.
Sometimes you will see us on the streets of Duluth sharing the Gospel and praying with individuals. Our goal is to bring the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ to those who don't know Him and to motivate and encourage those who know Jesus to live a life of victory over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit. In all that we do we desire to bring God the glory for we are just His vessels by which He speaks love and truth into individuals lives so that they can live the life He has intended for them.
